Seed Markers

With the absence of colour in those pots of seeds I sowed at the weekend I thought I'd make up some pretty seedling markers. Cocktail sticks with nail varnish or poster paint and Bob's your uncle, a little dash of brightness in a muddy sea.

By colour coding the markers I can reuse them for the next batch of seeds once I get some sleepy sprouts rising from their cosy earthen beds. I am sure I spotted this somewhere on the web but I have no idea where so apologies for not linking it.

This is a brief post as I've got Florence running around half-naked as this morning she was adamant that she didn't want to wear a nappy and wear knickers instead. The fun never stops here!

  8. Thanks, great idea, I usually use lolly sticks with scribbled seed names but this is much simpler and can be re-used so eco-friendlier. My sowing time is in the next couple of weeks and I will start to sow my vegetables ready to plant out at the end of May. I see you are chitting your seed potatoes on the windowsill, I had an amazing bumper crop last year of Cara, Charlotte and Desiree potatoes. Best wishes, Fleur x
