With the absence of colour in those pots of seeds I sowed at the weekend I thought I'd make up some pretty seedling markers. Cocktail sticks with nail varnish or poster paint and Bob's your uncle, a little dash of brightness in a muddy sea.
By colour coding the markers I can reuse them for the next batch of seeds once I get some sleepy sprouts rising from their cosy earthen beds. I am sure I spotted this somewhere on the web but I have no idea where so apologies for not linking it.
This is a brief post as I've got Florence running around half-naked as this morning she was adamant that she didn't want to wear a nappy and wear knickers instead. The fun never stops here!

I am so going to steal this idea - fabulous! x
ReplyDeleteGenius idea Fay! :)
ReplyDelete(I am glad Flo has personality!)
Love these, they look great! And very impressive planting.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a cute idea, colourful and practical! I will definitely be stealing it! x
ReplyDeleteYou are very organised!!
ReplyDeleteFleur xx
Great idea - love your blog too!
ReplyDeleteI admire your gardening skills. Good luck on the growth!
ReplyDeleteThanks, great idea, I usually use lolly sticks with scribbled seed names but this is much simpler and can be re-used so eco-friendlier. My sowing time is in the next couple of weeks and I will start to sow my vegetables ready to plant out at the end of May. I see you are chitting your seed potatoes on the windowsill, I had an amazing bumper crop last year of Cara, Charlotte and Desiree potatoes. Best wishes, Fleur x
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT idea! I have already forgotten what I've planted, but for my next lot, I'll be trying this!
