Next Chapter

This is one of my favourite pictures of me and the husband, taken four years ago in Somerset. We had only really been going out a few months but I already knew that this was the man I was going to marry. It was a distant fancy that one day we could fulfill our dreams and move from London to the South West and live happily ever after. But who knows...

now we've
FOUND A HOUSE
we might just be able to do just that!

Still renting, mind, but when I stepped over the threshold it felt like me- like 'us'- like a place that we would be happy in. It's got a wee garden with a vegetable patch (potatoes in situ, very good sign of last tenants), a pantry, some good and proper wooden floors and yes, a spare bedroom for my craft room! Hurrah! It's also within walking distance to the town and the husband's new work and it seems that in ten minutes you can drive out of town and into rolling hills and green that stretches as far as the eye can see.

I still can't believe that I am actually moving to the countryside. In 3 weeks!

  2. Congratulations! I hope you will be very happy in your new home. Sounds like you are doing the opposite to what we have just done! Will you be Devon-based now, I wonder? Good luck with the move :)

  7. Congratulations! I knew you would find something. It sounds amazing!

I miss the South West, we used to live in Bath. And although I now am close to our friends sometimes I do miss how pretty it and the surrounding countryside was. So am quite jealous, enjoy the fresh air for me!
