First Harvest

Girl's dream come true: strawberries and peas straight from the garden. Her two most favourite foods in the world, that evoke a loop of "meeeeeees" (please) and happy half-mooned eyed smiles whenever she sees them.

My garden is so thankful for all the rain we've had fall here. Mother Nature is making up for the mix up of March and April for May and June.

Thank you for all the supportive house-hunting comments. We're off to view some tomorrow so by Wednesday we will have a house no matter what. Except not the cottage-on-the-village-square-that-overlooks-the-local-church that we were hoping. Bloody no children permitted policy. Almost every single character property I've spied and imagined as my home will inevitably have those two sad words: no children. Will let you know how we get on...
